The heart of a DIY automatic drinker
Every mains-pressure drinker we make starts with this tank. It fills from your hose, a horizontal Lubing float valve shuts it off at the right level, and as the birds draw water through whatever outlets you fit, the valve opens and tops it up. That is the whole trick: a small, self-regulating reservoir between your water supply and your birds. Buy the tank on its own and you can build the rest to suit your coop.

How it works
Connect a garden hose to the 13 mm hose tail (or plumb in at the ½″ BSP inlet) and turn on the tap. The float valve lets water in until the tank reaches its level, then closes. Fit your cups or nipples to the outlet; as the birds drink, the level drops, the valve opens, and the tank refills. Nothing electronic, nothing to set. Nipples need about 35 to 50 cm of head, which the tank provides when mounted above them.
